- New algorithms (sample rate limited to 48kHz):
- Head Space: An authentic emulation of classic tape delays with adjustable playback heads, Wow and Flutter, Drive, Hiss, and Filter controls
- Bouquet Delay: An emulation of analog delay pedals with two different flavors and a couple of modern tricks.
- WeedWacker: Two stage, serial overdrive (distortion) effect. Both stages are identical. Each stage is reminiscent of a famous green overdrive used by your favorite blues/rock players of yore.
- Even-Vibe: A faithful emulation of the classic Shin-ei Uni-Vibe™ in stereo!
- WormHole: Mega-sized, tilting reverb with a Warp performance parameter
- Polyphony: A low-latency, high quality polyphonic pitch shifter using Eventide’s new SIFT (Spectral Instantaneous Frequency Tracking) technology
- PolyFlex: A fully polyphonic version of our classic, 2-voice PitchFlex algorithm, with a few added bonuses.
- New general parameters for all algorithms
- Kill Dry: removes the dry signal from the algorithm, effectively turning the algorithm’s mix control into a level control. Useful for wet/dry and aux send/return configurations where the H9000’s effect are in parallel to the dry signal.
- Panning: Move the entire stereo image of an algorithm’s output to the left or right. Very useful when using multiple algorithm’s in parallel.
- Solo: Bypass all other algorithms in the FX Chain. Useful when using FX Chains with many algorithms.
- Add FX Chain Kill Dry
- Add automatic input/output sensing to H9 algorithms
- Fix mapping issue with certain algorithms
- Fix bug causing H8000 looper algorithms to not work properly
- Fix bug where front panel would not display the correct Session name or number in certain scenarios
- Make factory Sessions and FX Chains not entirely uppercase
- Add fan speed control. Toggle on for a lower fan speed. If the H9000 senses that it is operating at too high of a temperature, it will automatically change back to the higher fan speed.
- Allow sigfiles with TAPKNOB to be imported. Users should update their sigfiles to use TAPERKNOB instead
- EQ45 and EQ65 plugin presets added to algs # 1140, 1141, 1240, 1241.115 H8000 algs, including the MIDI Virt Racks, are no longer unopenable in Vsig.Emulations tag added to Category Types.
- Reveal function values in Emote.
- Browser labels filter exclusively.
- Sessions and FX Chains searchable by ID number.
- Add info about Crushstation and Sculpt's Nominal Gain parameter.
- Fix initialization issue with H9 algorithm's factory preset's I/O gain parameters.
- Fix mapping issue with some H8000 algorithm textknobs.
- Fix sequencer in 6109 Arabian Collangette and 6914 Flaedermaus.
-
Fixes minor bugs with algorithms that were loading incorrectly: 4918 Gravity Verb , 5815 Jettison (405), 3517 One Way Phaser.
-
Fixes tapknobs instantiating at minimum value in sessions, FX chains, and presets that were saved pre-Emote 2.
-
Updates Wi-Fi driver to support Edimax V2 Wi-Fi adapters.
-
Simplifies Access Point and network settings.
-
If you do not enter a password while creating a WiFi access point, then a password will be automatically generated for you. This will be your H9000’s serial number in the format “9K-XXXXX”.
- Compatibility with Emote 2.0, handling scenes and various bug fixes.
- Removal of H9000 network updates, shifting H9000 update handling to Emote.
- Cosmetic improvements.
New Algorithms for the H9000:
1.) TriceraChorus- TriceraChorus is inspired by classic bucket brigade delay tri-choruses and choruses used both live and in the studio. TriceraChorus has three chorus voices: Left (L), Center (C), and Right (R). Each voice uses a dedicated LFO to modulate a delay at the frequency set by the RATE knob. The modulated signals for the Left and Right voices are -120 and 120 degrees out of phase relative to the Center modulation signal. The combination of the three modulated delays creates lush chorus sounds.
2.) Harmadillo - Harmadillo is a flexible harmonic tremolo, offering everything from soulful lush tremolos to psychedelic mind-bending weirdness.
New Features for the H9000 1.3
1.) Bypass Tails - You can specify a bypass mode on each individual algorithm and FX chain that determines whether the effect tails are audible after bypass is engaged.
2.) MIDI Controller Feedback- MIDI Controller feedback sends control change messages to the MIDI outputs so that controllers with LEDs or motorized faders can be kept in sync with the mapped parameters on the H9000. This is configured in SETUP mode, on the MIDI page. There are 3 switches that enable/disable MIDI feedback for DIN, USB Controllers (any controllers plugged into the front or rear panel USB A ports) and DAW (a computer plugged into the rear panel USB B port). When the H9000 receives a MIDI Reset message (status byte 0xFF), all mapped controller values will be sent to the appropriate MIDI outputs. These values are also sent when loading presets, scenes, and on system startup.
3.) Per-Page Randomization of Parameters - We have tamed the randomization feature to make it more useful. It will now only affect the parameters on the currently displayed page and will not affect the General parameters (in/out gains, mute, bypass etc).
4.). Pro Tools HD Expansion card support - This release includes support for the forthcoming ProTools HD Expansion card.
H9000 Bug Fixes 1.3
1.) Occasional click in some digital audio modes- We have found and fixed a low-level issue that was causing occasional clicks in the audio output from the DSPs.
2.) The front panel UI can become slow to respond - We have fixed a couple of cases where the front panel UI can slow down when processing a large number of events.
3.) c_graph module offset control wasn't working - We fixed a problem with the c_graph module.
4.) front panel brightness control optimized - We improved the resolution, and the taper of the screen brightness controls especially at darker settings
5.) MIDINOTE Module - Fixed a problem with MIDINOTE module
6.) NETWORK - Fixed a networking issue
7.) DYNAVERB Parameter bug - Fixed an issue with one of the Dynaverb parameters
8.) Audio Sync - Fix a rare audio sync problem
9.) Nominal Gain - Make presets for distortion algs remember the Nominal Gain value
10.) Factory Presets - Update all factory session presets, fixing fx chain names, routing problems, and session names
11.) TriceraChorus - Restrict tricerachorus at high sample rates
H9000 USB SELF-TEST INSTRUCTIONS
- Download and unzip the USB self-test zip file.
- Inside the folder should be 2 files, “usb-self-test.sqz” and “usb-self-test-info.xml”.
- Copy these 2 files to the top level of a FAT-32 formatted USB flash drive. Make sure there are no H9000 USB updater files on the drive.
- Connect the drive to a USB port on the H9000.
- On the H9000, power on the unit while holding both the CHECK and X keys for at least two seconds and wait for it to boot into self-test mode.
- You will see a progress bar that indicates the tests are being performed. On the H9000R, power on the unit while inserting a pin into the hole next to the network key and wait for it to boot into self-test mode.
- The NETWORK LED will blink until the tests are complete. The LED will be ON if all the tests passed, or OFF if any failed
- Once the tests are completed, turn off the unit and remove the USB drive.
- A test log document titled “9K-XXXXX-self-test.log” will now be available for you to view on the USB drive
- You can submit the test log document to Eventide support if you have a support ticket.
3.4.2
3.3.3
- Fix issue where creating a new sigfile left an empty comment after TAIL in the sigfile, resulting in a THRU alg when uploading to the H9000.
3.3.2
- Disallow giving modules an empty name
- Fix multiple issues with the modules documentation
3.3.0
- Addition of toolbar buttons for showing/hiding different connection types
